@Nate
Good on you. You do what you want to do. Forget them.
I’m happy with my case because it protects the watch. Don’t change for strangers on this forum. Keep your possessions safe. They can risk theirs if they want to.
You do you, man. Input from this forum should have zero value to you. But having a pipboy-looking watch is not really my thing, but that’s me.
People didn’t like it. Did you dislike it?

I love it. I only put it on when I am traveling or I know I’m going to do something physical.

4 people said they hated it on this forum from a quick check, balls to them. I’ve always got the OtterBox case for my watches, when it comes time to trade them in for the next one it helps a lot!!

Who cares what others think? If you want a case, wear a case. It’s YOUR watch on YOUR wrist. These are just a bunch of strangers on this forum.
Do whatever you want, not for strangers on this forum’s approval.
Personally, I hate cases on my watch. Nobody will convince me to get one.
As everyone else has said, do what makes you happy. If your watch gets scratched or broken they won’t be there to help you.
I keep mine in a case. Yes, it’s ugly but it protects the watch.

Watches have existed before smartwatches, and more expensive watches have been around before smartwatches. You wouldn’t put a case on a £10,000 Rolex. In my opinion, it’s crazy to put a case on a £400 smartwatch and make it look bulky.
@Asher
Analog watches don’t have a touch screen that can’t be repaired if you break it. If you break the glass on your Rolex or even your cheap watch, you can probably get it repaired. If you break your Apple Watch, you can throw it away. Also, if I had the money for a Rolex, I would probably have enough to buy the top-of-the-range Apple Watch, which is more resistant than the aluminum. I don’t like scratches, nor do I have money to replace my watch if I break it. Not to mention, if I keep my watch in good condition, I can sell it or trade it in when I want to upgrade. Phones didn’t need a case either, but I bet you won’t have your iPhone without one. Only rich people keep their phones without cases. I wear the watch for myself, so I’m really not bothered if people think it looks ugly or cheap, and if anything, it’s a thief deterrent. Each to their own.
@Lilly
Exactly.
@Lilly
For what it’s worth, I do in fact keep my phone without a case, and always have. I’ve never dropped my phone or damaged it, I take care of my stuff.
But I understand people putting cases on their phones more. Phones are bigger than watches, so a case increases the phone’s size by a much smaller amount. Phones are not strapped to your wrist and can be dropped. I see why a case makes sense on a phone and has fewer drawbacks.

Same
Nah bro, don’t listen. I used a case for ages on my Series 7. You do what’s best for you!
I happily wear a case on mine. It’s just a little rubber bumper. I’m a carpenter and my watch would look bad if I didn’t have one. Only 2 tiny scratches on my screen in a couple of years! It’s held up surprisingly well.
I wear my watch screen case at work (I’m a mechanic) and would destroy it otherwise. When I get off I take it off
