Thoughts on a Case for the iPhone 16 Pro

Ezri said:
This is my first time pre-ordering a phone, and I want to have a case ready as soon as it arrives. I know that companies get the dimensions in advance, so cases are available right away. But how can I tell which cases are good if no one has tried them yet? Are there any brands that people trust to make cases for the new model? I really want to make sure I have a case right away after I get the phone.

I really like Speck cases. They are high quality and I saw they already have cases out for the 16 Pro and Pro Max. I ordered a case for the 16 Pro this morning after my pre-order, and it already ships.

I’ve been using Luriax cases for a while, and I noticed they have cases for the iPhone 16 Pro available for pre-order. They are handmade, so shipping may take a little longer, but the quality is always excellent.

I love the look of Spigen cases.

I usually order the Otterbox Defender series and use a screen protector with them.

Same here since the 3GS, but I’m not real sure about that cutout this time. I’m thinking between a Lumen or the Spigen Tough Armour or possibly sticking with the Defender.

I’m still leaning towards the tried and true for such a big investment.

I probably will too but may wait a couple of days after the release to check out any reviews first.

I’d recommend Spigen. I’ve been buying their cases and tempered glass since the iPhone 5 was released.

I decided on a SUPCASE. The price is good and it officially supports camera control. iPhone 16 Series Phone Cases with Camera Control Button | SUPCASE

For my work with mud and dirt, the Otterbox Defender series has always worked well for me, especially the thick rubber and port plug, although they can break sometimes. I’m seeking other recommendations as well. Plus, I need a matte screen protector for the 16 Pro. Any suggestions for places that offer international delivery?

I prefer folio cases so I can carry cards and cash if needed. Nonad makes some great options.

I think I’m going with Speck this time. They generally make solid cases.

I’m eyeing these options:

Consider Outerbox.

Spigen Liquid Air cases are great. I’ve been using one for my 12 Pro and plan to get another for my 16 Pro. They are thin but provide good protection.

I have the Liquid Air for my 14 now, and I really like it. I can’t see the oily fingerprints on it. I’m curious how other cases handle fingerprints, especially silicone ones.

You can get it for £39 from John Lewis compared to the £50 from Apple. It’s a good deal. I have the silicone Apple case for my 13 Pro Max, and it’s held up well. The corners are a bit damaged from drops, but no yellowing after a year and a half. It works perfectly.

I bought a Torras case for my 14 Pro Max and I’m happy with it. I pre-ordered my 16 Pro too, but I’m debating whether to grab a cheap case until more third-party options come out.

I’m using a Nomad Goods case on my iPhone 15 Pro and will buy another when I upgrade to the 16. Their leather is nice quality, and they fit well. Their new cases also come with a cutout for camera control.
