I usually buy the Smartish Grip case for $20, as it lasts me for a couple of years without any issues, just light scratches on the back. I researched and found it was rated as the best overall case on Wirecutter. The case for the 16 Pro is great and works functionally with the new capture control feature. However, I also ordered an Apple silicone case when I pre-ordered the phone just in case I needed extra protection. Using the Apple case with the capacitive touch button gives a better experience. I’ve moved away from Apple cases due to their tendency to chip and their high prices. I might have to reconsider and stick with the provided Apple case this time.

I always get Spigen Armor cases since I’m prone to dropping my phone frequently.
