Oh thank goodness I’m not alone in this
Note: I haven’t seen this message since I opened the App Store on my Mac and had to sign in to update my apps

Looks like it’s fixed now, haven’t had it happen in a couple of hours

I’ve had this issue on the Mac too since I updated but nothing on iOS
I get this every time I open my phone
EDIT: Looks like it’s an issue with a third-party app. Makes sense, Reddit was open when my phone unlocked

Interesting. I have never experienced this myself. Does it show up with other specific apps?
@Rex
I had the prompt show up using FB Messenger and Reddit about 4 hours ago. Nothing since then

Get Apollo
The top post in Apollo’s forum is about this bug too

Get Apollo
minor inconvenience
Apollo users say it’s probably because you’re using the official Reddit app. Get Apollo, it does things better than the official app. I used Apollo and then my wife came back with the kids, my Apollo went out the window, and now I’m six feet tall
@Oli
As someone who uses the old Reddit desktop site, this made me laugh
@Oli
Imagine being so obsessed that you have to stand up for the default Reddit app

I can’t believe you’re giving awards to all your posts lol. I’m sorry I even tried to argue with you
You win, I’ve seen the light of Apollo and I’m spending four bucks on all my comments
@Oli
I didn’t do that, but maybe you did so you could say that
@Oli
It’s my favorite Reddit app, but wow does it have a devoted fan base
“Reddit is down, just checked the app and website”
“Hey you’re definitely going to experience Reddit server errors with Apollo instead”
I’m seeing this on my iPhone SE running iOS 12.4.1
Also getting this on an old iPad Mini 1 with 9.3.5
I doubt it relates to iOS updates. More likely, it’s a problem with Apple’s servers. I hope they fix this soon and it goes away
@Marley
Yeah, since you got these messages on even older iOS versions, it looks like it’s an Apple server issue
@Marley
Fellow SE user here. The messages stopped after I updated to iOS 13 about 3 hours ago. I’ll keep you posted if they return
YES oh man I thought this was some app trying to steal my money
I signed out of my iCloud account and now it’s gone for now
So annoying
