iPhone and iPad users are getting iTunes Store errors when opening apps

YES oh man I thought this was some app trying to steal my money

I signed out of my iCloud account and now it’s gone for now

So annoying

I haven’t seen this yet but my friend did. I asked her if any other devices had her account on it in case someone was trying to steal money

I would have logged out too when it popped up but that never occurred to me because I have no money to steal

I thought something was wrong with my iPad and iPhone. Now I see I’m not the only one facing this issue

I think this is happening in certain apps. I opened Facebook four times and got the prompt each time. Some other apps don’t seem to trigger it for some reason

You can use this thread to discuss the issue instead of cluttering the daily support thread

Maybe like five people actually get help in the daily support thread anyway. It’s pretty useless

@Nile
The options are:

  1. Send people to /r/applehelp (but then folks complain there is no help)

  2. Let users fill /new with repetitive tech support questions (but that also floods the forum, and responses are often rude)

We have tried everything over the years. And we figured out that almost no one wants to help others in /r/apple because people come here for news and discussions, not to fix issues. So the daily support thread is a necessary evil for this forum. That’s just the way it is. If people use it, great… otherwise, they really just should go to /r/applehelp and stick around to help others. That’s the only way it will work. But people just want help without contributing to those who need it

@Jody
Proposal: Start directing people to the official Apple Support Community Forums

If not enough folks are helping on Reddit’s Apple Help threads, maybe we should start sending everybody there

Responses there usually come in a few hours

@Jody
I’ve suggested /r/iphonehelp to the mod team before. We have users who are willing to help each other there

No

I can confirm that this is happening to me too. It started after I updated to 13.1.2 on my iPhone 11 Pro Max last night. Not sure what caused it to show up, but shutting down my phone an hour ago and turning it back on got rid of it for now

@Wyatt
Same thing here on the same phone. The messages appeared after the update on Saturday, but so far it hasn’t come back

I’m getting this on tvOS too

Well I found out about a new Gatecreeper album when I opened iTunes. Guess I needed some new death metal in my life so thanks, error message

Is anyone else seeing their App Store balance show as 0 euros or dollars instead of some amount?

I had 1.21 euros left before this. One precious month of iCloud storage lost

Not that it matters much for this amount, but it’s strange

I got this message an hour ago on iOS 12.4, using XS

Mine has stopped showing it. Must be a server issue

This started happening after I jailbroke yesterday with iOS 12.4 on an XR. The jailbreak created a black screen loop. So I hard restarted it and removed Cydia and the jailbreak app. I hope this is just a coincidence

@Jaden
It is, the jailbreak has nothing to do with this issue

This happened to me a couple of times today
