Anyone got a super loud alarm ringtone that actually wakes you up?

Hi, I’m new here and not sure if this is the right place to ask, but I’m on the hunt for a super loud ringtone for a heavy sleeper. I can’t find much on iTunes or Apple Music. It feels like my iPhone alarm just isn’t doing the job anymore. Even with snooze turned off, I somehow manage to snooze in my sleep. The regular ‘alarm’ sound doesn’t cut it, and I’ve tried several others with no luck. My iPhone alarm doesn’t seem to be working well, or maybe the sound just isn’t loud enough.

Anyone have some good recommendations? Ringtone names or song names that are loud and intense for heavy sleepers? I feel like I’ve run out of options on iTunes, and Apple isn’t helping with this.

I use Alarmy. It makes you solve math problems to snooze the alarm.

Yes! This app’s intense. It shocks me awake with regular iPhone alarms, so I imagine it’s perfect for deep sleepers.

Nice, sounds like a great trick.

Yes. You’re just a difficult person.

I’m always a bit hesitant with third-party apps. Does it work reliably?

That’s my worry too. I’ve stuck with the iPhone clock app for now. Does Alarmy actually do the trick? Thinking of downloading it to test.

Why not try a digital clock with a built-in alarm?

I already have one, along with my iPhone alarm. Both are across the room, but I still end up sleeping through or turning them off without realising.

Honestly, I don’t use any ringtones or alarms. I keep my phone on silent with just vibration, usually on my Apple Watch. I just don’t like the idea of my phone making loud noises around others.

I live at home with my mom, who doesn’t mind. I’m 22, and sometimes if my alarm is ringing too long, she’ll call me from her room (the call always wakes me up somehow). She doesn’t get bothered by my alarms even though I wake up much earlier than she does. I have an Apple Watch but haven’t tried using it as an alarm since I’m worried it might die overnight. Do you find it reliable for alarms, or does it make any noise?

If I were you, I’d look at other options that might work better.

@Zephyr
I’m open to trying new things, which is why I asked here for suggestions on sounds or ringtones that work as alarms. I’ve tried a lot—different sounds, adjusting settings, putting the phone across the room, even getting a separate digital alarm clock.

I’ve had this old alarm since 2011 that’s super loud and still wakes me up.

If you use Apple Music, you can also set songs as alarms. This song works too:
