Probably not. 24” is still too small of a screen for me and my 27” is still serviceable. It would take a new 27” or 32” to get me to move on. Which, at this point is a Mac mini or studio with a Retina display. Not super stoked about the price tag of the combo, though, so, I’ll continue to use what I have.
Are you kidding me? This is what we’ve been waiting for? I thought we were finally going to see the return of the 27 inch 5K iMac, or maybe even a larger version. I haven’t been following Macs as closely for the last few years and I can’t even tell what’s different about this… a slightly faster processor and a fingerprint reader (which seems like a terrible choice over Face ID for this form factor)?
Not until they release it in a 32 inch.

Really can’t get the white frame. Very peculiar device by apple. iMac’s used to be look very elegant and work-placey device. Now it’s just for artsy tattoo studios. If they are targeted to home users they should have make it cheaper and introduce iMac Pro again with some dignity.

Can someone tell what would I gain getting for instance this iMac instead of new MacBook Pro M4 or Mac Mini with some external monitor?
I am coder, I do tons of dev work everyday but would also like to watch a game sometimes or just have a nice screen. So I am thinking of replacing my old MBP M1 with something new.
No 27" no new Imac for me.
Nobody should be forced to use a 24 inch desktop display.

For the first time since I bought a sage green iMac DV, I’m tempted to buy a new one. I just might. I’ll need to see the new colors in person though. 
Might look at the iMac if my wife wants a Mac in the future. She only uses her computer for games though. Though, I don’t know if Sims or City of Heroes will play on the Mac.
