My iPhone XR has been acting slow. I’ve had it for about two years and it started lagging this fall. It’s a 64GB model, and the battery is at 77%. Any ideas?
Probably time to get the battery changed.

I’m worried about that because we don’t have an official Apple store here in Kazakhstan, and I might have to rely on sketchy repair shops.

You could try doing it yourself. There are plenty of tutorials on YouTube. If you get the right tools, it’s not that hard.

You don’t need an official battery. Third-party ones work fine, no matter what people say on here.

Yeah, I think you’re right.
Changing the battery fixed my issues. My battery was at 80%. I called Apple, set up an appointment, and got it replaced. Took about two hours and cost $92. It’s like having a new phone again.

When did you get this done?

Back in October.

Thanks! My XR is at 78%, but I also only have 64GB storage which makes me think of upgrading.
Are you running iOS 17?

Yeah, I updated recently.

I’m still on iOS 16, partly for this reason.

Battery life on iOS 17 for XR is worse compared to iOS 16. I stayed on iOS 16 too but for other reasons.
