Which sleep app is actually right…?

@Uma
Good question! I always turn on the LIGHTS OUT option in AutoSleep when I close my eyes. Maybe that helps?

I have the same issue. Apple says I got 10 minutes of deep sleep last night, but another app says 1 hour 40 minutes. Been like this for weeks. What’s your second app?

It’s called AutoSleep.

@Perry
Is it worth it?

Definitely.

Been using AutoSleep for about 8 months. 100% worth the one-time payment.

Thanks for the replies!

Real question—did you get the app because you were struggling with sleep and wanted to track it? Or is it just better than the Health app?

I keep looking at the App Store page but don’t feel the need to buy it. I don’t have sleep problems, just like tracking data to see if it lines up with how I feel during the day.

@Mal
It’s great for waking me up. That’s really all I needed—something better than that awful alarm sound.

Thanks for the input, I might try it out.

Yeah, my Apple Watch says I only get 10-20 minutes of deep sleep, but AutoSleep usually says around 90 minutes.

For me, Apple usually shows more sleep than AutoSleep. But AutoSleep is better at tracking when I’m actually awake. If I lie still with a low heart rate, Apple thinks I’m asleep, but AutoSleep somehow knows I’m awake.

@Olin
Yeah, same here. I can be lying in bed scrolling and Apple says I’m sleeping. It does give me a lot of REM sleep though, which might be true since I dream a lot. Haven’t tried other apps.

At least your results are somewhat close. Mine are off by hours.

I used to think AutoSleep was more accurate, but something changed in the past few weeks, and now Apple’s sleep data seems better.

AutoSleep didn’t work well for me. It kept saying I was awake for most of the night, and I had to adjust the times constantly.

AutoSleep is always more accurate for me, especially for tracking when I’m actually awake. Apple usually says I slept longer than I really did.

But my sleep charts look the same on both apps…

I use both apps, and Apple’s sleep tracking lines up better with how rested I feel.

Apple’s tracking works fine for me.
