Apple just dropped iOS 18.3.2 for iPhones. They say it fixes bugs and improves security, and it comes about a month after the last update. You can get it in Settings under Software Updates. They also released updates for macOS, visionOS, iPadOS, and tvOS.
Apple says this update mainly brings bug fixes and security improvements. There was an issue with some streaming content not playing, which they say is fixed now. You can check out more details on their site.
Does this update actually change anything?

Why are these updates so big if they’re just fixing bugs? It’s like 500MB to 1GB every time.

I think it’s because if a single large file gets updated, you still have to download the whole file. So just a few of those can add up to a big update.

If you check Apple’s security update page, they list all the vulnerabilities they patched. Sometimes there are just a lot of them at once.

Cool, thanks for clearing that up… not that it was obvious from the post or anything.

New feature: three levels of bread toasting… only on iPhone 16. Watch out for burnt toast.

I’m in Italy, so no AI here anyway.

Nothing new, really.
Any update for WatchOS or did they skip it this time?

WatchOS didn’t have the same security issue that the other updates fixed.
My 16 Pro Max says the update is 704MB, which makes sense for a minor update. But why does it need 10GB of free space and want to offload apps?

It’s probably because it needs to keep old files around during the update so you can go back if something goes wrong. Using iTunes on a computer usually reduces the storage it needs.
Don’t forget to turn off Apple Intelligence if you don’t like it.
