Hey everyone, I just noticed this icon in the upper right of my screen. It looks like a person but I’m not sure what it means. Does anyone know?
It’s your focus mode icon
It’s the work focus mode. Side note, focus modes are great. They let you silence some apps but not others

This is wonderful for work. Silence all calls except for the people I want. This was a big help once I discovered it.
@Remy
Yep. Agreed

They also let you have totally different home screens. Can have work/food delivery apps on one focus, different ones with another focus.
@Harley
Oh yeah, I did that when I was working
@Harley
Any way to have an app on two different home screens based on focus mode?

You can have as many apps as you want on any screen now

Are you not experiencing the iOS 18 bug where it’s no longer possible to place the same app on different Home Screens for different focus modes? It used to be possible. Now, when I try, the app disappears from one focus mode when added again in another, even in the no-focus mode, which is really annoying.
@Kris
I know the focus modes are kinda glitchy sometimes. My work focus activates even when I have smart activation off, and I’m not at work. I’m hoping Apple fixes this if it is an issue. It should work though.

This is an issue for me on iOS 18. Before, I could have certain apps duplicated across different focus modes, but with iOS 18, that changed. Now, when I add the same app to multiple focus modes, it gets removed from the last one and vice versa. I stopped customizing different Home Screens for focus modes because of this… When I tried adding some repeated apps, the other focus mode’s screen became completely messed up because those apps disappeared from that focus (and even from no focus at all). I really like this customization, and I hope they fix it soon… Do you have this problem too?
@Harley
What would definitely be a killer improvement would be to be able to have different app accounts on different focus modes (something like what Profiles allow you to do on Android)

Then they have retinas made of steel
It’s a Focus Setting.
Thanks everyone, I have deleted my focus and can get back to ‘retired’
