What do I do with all this space? 512GB

I got the iPhone 13 mini with 512GB (it was only 100 euros more than the 128GB version…).

But now I’m wondering, is there anything useful I can do with all that storage?

Can I store everything on the phone AND on iCloud? It seems like everything just goes straight to the cloud. Am I right?

You could download all the apps you’ll need and store all your photos and videos in their original quality. It might seem like a lot now, but slowly, that space will start filling up.

I’ve never really needed 512GB, to be honest. I switched to 256GB, and I feel like I’m finally getting my money’s worth. Maybe I’ll go back to 512GB if apps and photos start taking up more space in the future, but for now, I don’t really need that much storage.

@Ridge
I just upgraded from 64GB to 256GB and I can’t imagine filling it up anytime soon. I installed all my usual apps (had 63 out of 64 installed before the upgrade), and I’m still only using 48GB. I could have gone with 128GB, but I wanted the iPhone 16 Pro and bought whatever was available. The extra storage gives me peace of mind though, so I’m happy with it.

Most of my storage is used for photos and videos. I love documenting everything! But if you back it all up to iCloud, it does take a while to upload.

Just remember, if you fill up your phone and want to upgrade later, you’ll need a device with enough space or use iCloud. Personally, I prefer to manually back everything up to my PC.

App cache and the system will start taking up space sooner or later. Don’t worry, it’ll fill up eventually.

Not unless the person who posted installs hundreds of apps!
