I just got my 11 inch iPad today. What common problems should I check for so I can return it right away if I need to?
I heard about the grainy screen issue and plan to check that on a grey background.
What else should I be aware of

I picked up the 13 m4 and also have an m1. I really don’t like the dynamic button that you can’t turn off, and the speakers aren’t as clear or loud as they were on the M1. I understand the sound isn’t perfect, but it’s disappointing compared to the M1. I didn’t see the moiré issue on my screen.
@Kai
What do you mean by a dynamic button
I think she’s talking about how the volume buttons change direction based on how you hold the iPad.

I see, but that was the same with the M1.
@Joss
You can turn that off on the M1.
I heard about grain and HDR flickering in this forum.

Can you explain HDR flickering? I tried looking for info in this forum but couldn’t find much.

Here’s a link that might help you out Apple says it is working on a fix for M4 iPad Pro HDR screen glitch | Macworld
I didn’t have any issues with my iPad Pro 11. I read about problems like grain and glue which made me worried, but after checking closely, I found no issues. The only thing I noticed is that when I use my Apple Pencil on YouTube, I have to tap the video a few times for it to play. Using my finger works fine though. If I had to mention something that’s not really a problem but annoys me, it’s how the volume buttons behave in landscape mode. The top button becomes the volume down button, which is really frustrating. I’m not sure if there’s a setting to fix this, but I’ll check.
@Dev
You can change the volume button orientation somewhere in the settings. I forgot where, but here’s a link to support Use the Home, side, and other buttons on your iPad - Apple Support (HK)
The screen seems a bit more yellow than other displays. If you put a white image on the iPad Pro and compare it side by side with another display, you might notice it.
I haven’t had any problems with mine. I have the 13 with nano. It looks and works great
My display has a grain problem when I use grey. You have to look closely to see it, but if you can’t spot it on the image I shared, then yours should be fine. If you notice it in normal use, then it might be defective.
I heard some people are getting really close to the screen to look for flaws. I just enjoy using mine shrugs
My pro m4 13 1tb freezes and crashes but they say it’s not a hardware problem
The forum app has strange columns when I hold it horizontally. I never saw that before, but I’m coming from an air 2.
I think my Apple Pencil doesn’t work properly. The find my option definitely doesn’t work. The iPad itself has no issues though.

Now that you mention it, I can’t find mine in find my either.
@Luca
You have to add it to find my manually.
