What are your favourite games to play when you’re bored?

Hi everyone, I’m on the lookout for some fun games to play. I don’t have wifi at the moment, so I’m specifically searching for free mobile games that don’t need Apple Arcade.

Here are some of the games I like:

  • Stardew Valley, Candy Crush, Clash of Clans (though it gets overwhelming sometimes), Plants vs Zombies, FarmVille (before it got overloaded with extras).

I also have an app called Plato, which is cool for card and board games.

I’d love recommendations for games where you build stuff or even fun puzzles to pass the time.

This might not be exactly what you asked for, but I think Afterplace is worth trying.

For something more relaxing, I’m enjoying Monument Valley 3.

If you like quick games, check out Downwell or Hyperburner. Both are simple and fun to pick up.

@Axel
Thanks! I’m open to trying new kinds of games, so I really appreciate your suggestions.

@Axel
Thanks for sharing different options! Downwell reminds me a bit of Galaga.

I mostly play Diablo Immortal these days. Sometimes I play COD Mobile too.

Diablo is great, but it’s very pay-to-win if you’re into PVP. I’ve bought a few battle passes, but the cost some players spend is crazy, over $100k for many of them.

@Uma
Yeah, Diablo is a lot of fun for sure.

Balatro is a good one to check out.

That’s definitely the right pick!

@Nate
That sounds amazing! My biggest complaint with games is when they drain the battery or overwork the phone.

I really enjoy playing I Love Hue too. It’s super relaxing.

Balatro and Slay the Spire are both great deck-building games. They’re very different from each other but worth trying.

Geometry Dash Lite is my pick. It took me weeks to finish the 11th level, and I stopped there because it got way too stressful. Still, it’s a good way to keep busy.

Atomas is a good one. It’s very calming, and you don’t need internet to play.

I’ve been playing Clash Royale and Marvel Snap recently. Both are fun and quick to get into.

Jelly Splash is a nice, simple game to pass the time.

Hill Climb Racing and Tetris are my go-to games. Easy to play and very satisfying.

I’ve been playing SimCity BuildIt for years. It’s the only city-building game I’ve stuck with. I’ve taken breaks for a year or more, but I keep coming back to it.

I used to play The Simpsons: Tapped Out a lot before I got too busy. It’s a city-building game with special events. You don’t have to spend any money unless you want to.

Sadly, The Simpsons: Tapped Out is being shut down, and the servers are going offline on January 24th.

@Dara
Oh well, I’ve moved on to Sudoku now. It’s quick and good for killing time.
