What are some tips for customizing the macOS interface?

I just switched to macOS from Windows, and while I’m loving the new experience, I feel like the interface could use a bit more personal flair. I’ve tweaked a few things, but I’m sure there are more ways to customize the look and feel of macOS. What are some tips for customizing the macOS interface to make it more personal and functional?

Honestly, I think macOS is already clean, but adding a bit of personality doesn’t hurt. I always resize my Dock and switch between Light and Dark Mode. Any must-have customization tools?

@OliverQueen Oh, you have to try “Bartender”! It keeps the menu bar nice and organized. Also, “Magnet” for snapping windows—super useful! :raised_hands:

Wait, “Magnet”? I’ve been dragging windows around forever and had no idea I needed this. :joy: As for customization, I set up custom keyboard shortcuts. It speeds everything up for me!

I’m more into aesthetics. Anyone else into tweaking Finder icons and color schemes? I use “iStat Menus” too…makes my menu bar super functional. Plus, dark mode all day, every day. :new_moon:

All of you are sleeping on Hot Corners! I set mine up to quickly access apps or my desktop. Throw in some custom wallpapers, and my macOS setup is :fire:!

Hot Corners? Isn’t that annoying? I always hit it by accident. :joy: But I do love customizing the touchpad gestures. Makes everything smoother! :+1:

@MalcomX Haha, I used to think that too. You get used to it! Also, anyone here using third-party launchers like “Alfred” for boosting productivity? Lifesaver.
