Upgraded from Series 8 to Ultra 2 and Loving It!

I didn’t think I needed an upgrade, but wow, the Ultra 2 is incredible. Here are my thoughts after a couple of weeks with it.

What’s one thing you miss about the Series 8, and one thing you love about the Ultra 2? Congrats on the upgrade!

Definitely the battery life and the durability of the Ultra 2 are a big step up. I’m not careful with my watches, and the Ultra 2’s tougher materials are perfect for me. The main reason I upgraded was because I kept smashing my Series 8 into walls, getting scratches, and even cracking the screen! :joy:

@Oakley
Same here! The battery and toughness are game-changers. My watch is all scratched up, but I think it adds character!

I have a Series 8 and have been thinking about switching to the Ultra 2. I don’t wear my watch while sleeping, so I charge it every night. I go on 3-5 mile runs, hikes, and do weightlifting. Is it worth the upgrade?

@Darwin
I use mine for sleep tracking and daily 7-10 km walks. With the Series 8, I’d have to rush to charge it before bed after my walk, which was inconvenient. The Ultra 2 easily lasts two days for me. So for me, the upgrade was worth it.

@Darwin
The weightlifting tracking on the Ultra 2 is amazing. I had a Garmin Fenix before, and the Ultra 2 is so much more accurate with detecting different exercises. My Garmin could only count reps.

Where do I find the weightlifting feature? Any tips on setting it up?

Looks like Terminal 21 in Pattaya, Thailand.

Here’s a Google Maps link for reference: Terminal 21 Pattaya

@Linden
