I take a lot of photos and make music, so getting the iPhone 16 Pro felt like a great move. The camera is amazing, the battery lasts a long time, and having 256GB storage means I don’t have to worry about space.
I’ve taken so many great pictures just because I always have the phone with me. Some might say it’s pricey, but for me, the quality makes it worth it.
At the end of the day, price and value aren’t the same thing.
Got it on launch day and have been using a Spigen case since. I don’t mind covering up the design since I care more about how it works than how it looks.

Fair enough.
I’d probably go for AppleCare+ and no case, but that’s a bit expensive. Why not something like an Otterbox for extra protection?

I’m used to shooting with actual cameras. How does the iPhone compare to an EOS R5 or X2D?
I like real cameras too. I have a Hasselblad 500C/M, a Canon A-1, and an EOS 80D.
The iPhone actually does really well, even if you’re not shooting RAW. The built-in photo styles give you plenty of control when editing. Low light is where you really notice it’s a phone, but overall, I think it holds up pretty well.
This is why upgrading every 4-6 years makes the most sense. You get real improvements without spending crazy amounts all the time.
If you’re outside the US, it’s even harder to keep up with yearly upgrades. Happy for you though, the 16 Pro looks great. Enjoy it… maybe wait for the iPhone XX next time .
