Thinking of getting iPhone 15… is it worth it?

Does the regular iPhone 15 overheat? How’s the battery life? Anyone run into any problems using it?

I got mine brand new a few days ago. I love it so far, no overheating for me.

Mine gets a bit warm only when charging, but nothing too serious.

I get about 9 hours of screen time on average. It does get a little warm when watching reels, but nothing major.

You’ll probably enjoy it. Everyone’s experience is a bit different. As long as you keep it updated and use a standard Apple charger (18-20W), it should be fine. The battery life is decent, the camera is great, and the size is comfortable.

Mine gets so hot I joke about using it to cook eggs or toast marshmallows. It’s not all bad though.

Are you talking about the regular model?

Honestly, I’ve noticed this with every model I’ve owned.

I’ve seen this happen more with Samsung and Pixel phones. My iPhone 15 has no heating issues so far, unlike my Pixel, which got hot doing basic stuff.

If you get the iPhone 15, avoid updating to iOS 18. It runs perfectly on the current version.

Totally agree, it’s fantastic on iOS 17.1.2.

True, keeping it as is works best.

I updated mine as soon as I got it. Coming from Android, I needed the better widgets, so I couldn’t wait.

Yes, it’s worth it.

From what I’ve heard, the regular 15 doesn’t overheat like the Pro models. Battery life is decent but nothing extraordinary. If you’re upgrading from something older, it’s a good choice. From a 13 or newer, maybe not.

The only thing I don’t like is the lens flare issue. iPhones seem to have it more than Android devices.

I’d recommend the iPhone 15 Plus. The battery life is fantastic, and I haven’t had any overheating issues on iOS 18.2.

Even the iPhone 12 would feel like a big upgrade for some people. If I were you, I wouldn’t spend more to get the 16.

If you’re switching from Android, you might feel the battery life is worse.

I’m stuck deciding between the iPhone 15 and waiting for the 16. Any advice?
