Thinking about getting an iPad Air. Should I wait?

I’m considering buying an iPad but I’m unsure if I should go ahead now or wait for the new ones that might come out soon (I’ve heard it could be later this month or next). Is 64GB enough if I’m mainly watching shows and playing light games?

Lots of folks are saying to grab the Air 5 now while it’s on sale instead of waiting for the Air 6. It’s probably not going to be a big upgrade. The M1 chip is already super powerful for an iPad, and the only real difference could be the front camera changing to landscape mode. The new iPads might also cost more, so buying the Air 5 now could save you $200-300 on a solid device that’ll last you years.

That’s exactly what I did for the same reasons.

I bought mine two weeks ago (had one a while ago but sold it), and I’m loving it. But I know when the new one gets announced, I’ll probably think ‘Should I have waited?’ haha, but I’m sure the difference won’t be much.

Especially with the price jump they’ll add. I’m happy with the deal I got.

Won’t the price of the iPad Air drop when the new ones come out?

I’d buy it, but I’d go for the 256GB version.

I’ve had an iPad Pro with only 128GB for 18 months, and I still have half the space left. I don’t even offload apps.

Same here. I don’t put much on mine either.

If you’re mainly streaming music and video, then 64GB is more than enough. Even for a decent amount of games, 64GB works just fine.

64GB should be plenty for this. I use my 2018 iPad (with only 32GB), and I’m still under 20GB. I’m thinking of upgrading to what you’re looking at, just waiting for a better price.

Do you think prices will drop more? I want to buy one too.

I don’t keep track of prices too much. I’m not the best person to ask about that.

Crying over here with my 32GB iPad 6.

I’ve used a 64GB iPad Pro for 3 years now for art, 3D modeling, streaming, and general stuff. It’s been fine. I haven’t once run out of space or had any issues.

I got the 64GB to save money, and I regretted it from day one lol.

If you’re a student, you’re probably going to need more than 64GB.

I’m a student with a 64GB Air 5, and I’m only using 25GB. Not everyone needs 256GB.

64GB might sound small, but if you’re careful with space, you won’t have any problems. I’d say go for the Air. My friend has the same model, and it’s awesome.

I’ve had the Air 5 for a year and a half, and I’ve never run into storage issues with 64GB.

The iPad Air is great. You should definitely get it.
