Switched to iOS last summer after 14 years with Android, and I’ve been loving it. Hope you do too

Which Android phone were you using before?

I was using a Z Fold 5 when I made the switch.
@Zion
Oh nice. I had a 6s but after the 13 series, I switched to Android. Now using the Nothing Phone 2a, it’s been great with no issues and solid battery for daily use and occasional gaming.

I respect that choice. But I don’t agree with the idea that Apple went downhill after Jobs.
@Zion
Apple’s great for products like Macs and watches but their phone batteries aren’t great. I prefer customization and iPhones are too restricted for that.
@Zion
I’ve realised something though: if you use Android for a long time, you’ll want to switch to iOS, and if you use iOS long enough, you’ll prefer Android. People get caught up in arguing over which is better.
@Huxley
Totally fair point, I get the customization side. But I’ve had no issues with my battery. My experience with iOS has been mostly great.

It starts off well, but after a few updates, the battery life drops. Happened to my dad’s iPhone 14 and my brother’s 15 Pro Max.
@Huxley
Battery issues happen with any device, but it seems like you’re justifying your purchase. Hope you enjoy your phone though.

Thanks! By the way, what’s your average battery usage? I usually charge between 20-80% and get 8+ hours of screen time with 120hz, and 15 hours with a full charge.
Nice choice of color. I have the Desert Titanium one and almost went with this because I like the stone grey Apple silicone case.

I have that combo, and it looks really cool.
How’s it going with your phone? Are you happy with it so far?
Battery’s draining quicker than expected, but overall, performance has been great.

It could be the background setup running. That usually takes up some battery.

Battery drains faster in the beginning, especially if restored from a backup. To get the iPhone to feel the snappiest, start fresh without restoring a backup. This is a common tip when switching to iOS, unless it’s a hardware issue like lagging.
@Morgan
But the person switched from Android to iOS, so there won’t be a backup to restore.
@Morgan
Does this only last the first few days?
