I’ve never had an iPhone before, but I’m thinking of getting one. I currently use a OnePlus 12 and will keep it as a backup. I can pay upfront for the iPhone but prefer no-cost EMI for convenience. There’s a big price gap between the 15 and 16. I’ll still keep my Android phone, so is the iPhone 15 good enough? Also, when is the best time to buy in India? And how does the trade-in option on Apple’s website work?
The 16 is better in terms of battery and cooling performance.
If you can afford it, definitely go for the 16.
The 16 is slightly better with battery life and some of Apple’s newer features.

But the price difference is 20k rupees. Since I’ll also have an Android, is it really worth spending that much?
@Lin
That $250 difference doesn’t seem worth it to me. The 15 still has a lot of great features.

But that’s only true for the 15 Pro.

The Pro and Plus models might get extra features, but is that AI stuff even necessary?
@Lin
The Plus model doesn’t get the AI features, only the Pro and Pro Max.
@Lin
Yeah, AI is not on the Plus model. Honestly, we’ve all done fine without it so far.
@Lin
If there’s a good sale, just go for the 15 or the Plus model.

I don’t think Apple’s new features are that impressive compared to other tech like ChatGPT.
The extra cost isn’t really worth it in my opinion.
If you can stretch your budget, go for the 16.
The 16 is better overall, but the Pro version of the 16 has a better camera if that matters to you.
Try waiting for the Christmas or New Year sales. Flipkart and Amazon usually have good deals, and you might get even better discounts at local stores like Croma or Reliance.

But prices seem higher at Croma compared to online stores.
@Lin
I was talking about their offline stores. Sometimes they have extra discounts there.

I checked their offline store too, and the prices are still high.
I’ve got the 15 and it’s great. Unless the price difference is small or you really need the newer features in the 16, the 15 should be fine.
