I am not sure whether this is the appropriate place to post this, but I recently purchased a new 6s. When I woke up the next morning, it indicated that there was no SIM card. I was a little alarmed because I assumed it was blocked, but after removing the tray and replacing it, the signal worked once more. For the past week, this problem has persisted intermittently and seemingly at random. Do you know what is happening?
My phone does this several times a day for weeks, then stops for a few months, and then starts up again. It’s really frustrating. The only fix I’ve found is to hit it against my hand while it’s in airplane mode, then turn off airplane mode. It keeps losing signal even when I’m just watching something on my phone and it hasn’t moved. When I went to T-Mobile, they tested my SIM in another iPhone, and it worked fine, but it still doesn’t work properly in mine.
Have you all resolved your issues? I just got a new iPhone 14 Pro Max, and when I insert my physical SIM, the phone says ‘No SIM.’ The SIM works fine in other phones, and I even tried another SIM from a different carrier, but it still shows ‘No SIM.’ I’ve tried both resetting and hard resetting the phone with no success.
Has your issue been resolved? If so, could you share how you fixed it?
Hi, sorry for the late reply. Yes, it’s resolved, and the solution is a bit surprising! Believe it or not, I fixed it by simply tapping and knocking on the area around my phone’s SIM card, both front and back. My carrier showed up instantly afterward! I think the SIM card reader wasn’t aligning correctly at first, but tapping on it helped it align and read the card. I’ve been using it without any issues for months now.
