Netflix Introduces Full-Season Downloads on iOS… Is This the Feature We’ve Been Waiting For?

Netflix just added a new feature allowing iOS users to download an entire season of a show with a single tap. Previously, this was only available on Android devices. Now, with this update, users can enjoy seamless downloads of full seasons on their iPhones and iPads. Is this going to change how we watch Netflix on the go?

For $25 per month, I’m out.

Seriously. For the constant price hikes, limited selection, and restrictions, it’s not worth it to keep a subscription long term.

Netflix, like a few other streaming services, is best binged in a short period. I have it through other deals, but even when it’s ‘free,’ I still find myself struggling to find something worth watching. Plus, paying for a subscription only to have ads is frustrating.

I was out since it reached $20.

I checked my email, and the last time I paid for it was July 2021, at $18.99 CAD before tax. My family used it, but not enough to justify the cost. The only service we’ve paid for since is Discovery+, but even that wasn’t worth it after a while.

Now let me install the app on my Mac

Don’t understand why it is not available. For Max neither, and HBO was an app before.

They need to update their subtitles—more sizes and a better black outline, plus a darker, more vintage yellow option. Also, they could add speed settings in smaller increments. Sometimes, you just want to get through hundreds of episodes a bit faster. Any addition is welcome, though, since they raise their prices far more often than they add features.

@Adi
I watch TV with subtitles, but I also watch WWE Live on Netflix. It’d be great if they could add an option to toggle subtitles off for live broadcasts without constantly changing them.

On the upside, CC for WWE sounds hilarious… BROTHER!!

@Drake

I wonder if they think this feature justifies another price hike.

Don’t give them any ideas.

Thank god they just upped prices again, so they can finally implement such important features. I know it’s been hard for Netflix to improve their platforms with how little profit they’ve been turning. Cancel your streaming services, sign up at your local library, buy physical media, and if all else fails—pirate.

Still no integration with Apple TV I see. How fun it is when companies get petty!

I travel with my Mac but still have to watch things on my SE because there’s no Netflix Mac app. Comical.

That could’ve been useful while Netflix still had something to watch.

Damn, I hate that, also I want full season renewal too.

Why doesn’t Apple TV do this?
