I tried everything in regards to try and fix it manually. I reset the NRAM and performed a factory reset.i also tried internet recovery, unfortunately I keep getting the same error message every time. I have tried all of my wifis too not just the same network. For some reason my mac appears to be missing the actual MacOS s operating software. I ran diagnostic test and it said there’s nothing wrong with the hardware. For refence, my macbook pro is from 2018 and does not have the lightning ports, only 4 type c ports. I do not have a bootable flash drive or hard drive at the moment but I am not sure weather or not to contact apple and see if I can hey a replacement mac, consideringbits a handmedown from a friend. They might think I stoleit if I don’t have proof of purchase. Furthermore, I’m just looking for advice on what to do and I need the cheapest option available as I do not currently hold a job of any sort. Still looking through. If anyone can help me with troubleshooting my mac I would absolutely appreciate it. If ythave read this far, thank you. I get kind of nervous posting stuff like this online. But yeah, my point is if anyone can help that would be great.
Apple won’t replace your Mac for any reason so forget that idea. Apple support is free and they won’t question if you stole it or anything.

First you should visit support.apple.com/mac/statrup and try to follow the steps as best as you can.
Phone support can help you.
Good luck!

Try booting into recovery mode and select the startup disk. If that doesn’t work, you will probably need to reinstall macOS from recovery.

I gave that a shot but all the recovery key combinations just take me to a broken internet recovery

Is it connected to the internet with a cable?

Recovery Mode actually runs from a hidden partition on your local disk, but Internet Recovery Mode uses the logic board firmware to download a new disk image from the Internet.
From what you described, your entire internal disk might be unreadable along with that hidden partition.
Internet Recovery Mode also needs an internet connection. You have to connect your Mac to a properly set up Wi-Fi network that:
-
Uses a WPA/WPA2 password, so free hotspots that need a web portal (like at Starbucks) won’t work.
-
Has DHCP set up right that will assign DNS too.
-
If the local network uses IPv6, the IPv6 RA must be set up correctly, including DNS and corresponding DHCPv6.
If you can’t make your Wi-Fi work or use free hotspots all the time, try connecting with an Ethernet cable. If you don’t have Ethernet, take your Mac to an Apple Store and use their Wi-Fi.

They all seem to act the same way and I know they shouldn’t
Maybe there’s something wrong inside it

I thought I was the only one who saw that.

It’s that extra weight. Totally messes with the Mac’s cooling.
Could be a problem with the hard drive. If the OS suddenly stops being seen, it’s probably the drive that failed. I know you said you don’t have a bootable drive right now, but I’d wait until you get one or borrow a USB stick to make one. Then you will know for sure that if Disk Utility doesn’t see the drive to format it, the drive might be dead

I was going to say the same thing. Could be a faulty drive or SSD.
Make sure to sit properly!

Thanks for the reminder
@Eli
My 2017 model did this too and I tried every boot option but nothing worked just like what you’re seeing. In the end, booting from a USB drive with the latest version of OS that fits your system fixed it.

But my laptop also caught on fire

Seriously? Did it boot up after that?
@Eli
Did a bird get to your keyboard?
