When looking to purchase charging cables for the iPhone 15 I am aware it comes with one in the box, but I need different lengths, should I be concerned about whether they are MFi certified or similar requirements? Some cables on Amazon don’t explicitly mention iPhone compatibility, but they should still work fine, correct?

Yes, you should use a Type C Cable that is specifically made for iPhones. Avoid any cable that isn’t certified for use on iPhones. It will neither charge nor transfer data from your phone

There is no need for concern as USB-C is a universal standard, so there isn’t an MFi certification for it. Just use any cable from a trusted brand, should work just fine.

No MFI is required for a wireless charging, because it uses a different standard called the Qi.

I think using a cable that isn’t certified MFI will ruin your battery life quicker, that’s just me, but I’ve seen it on a lot of android phones
