This will work for a while, but over time, the glue holding the magnets weakens, especially with heat, and the magnets fall off. Happens to everyone who tries DIY MagSafe stuff.
What if you use liquid cement?

J-B Weld works up to 550°F.

I attached mine to the back of a clear iPad case. Been solid for over a year now.

Same here.
I did this with my iPad mini and added a MagSafe pop socket. Works great.

I did the same on my 13” iPad! The pop socket actually helps with holding it.
Wow, the Mini 5 looks just like the Mini 4.

Yeah, all iPads before the Mini 6 look alike, except the home button on newer ones has Touch ID.

Don’t forget the speaker grills and mic changed, plus the thickness and bezel too! I own both the 1st and 5th gen.

There are small differences, but from a distance, you can’t tell them apart!

And the Mini 3 looks just like the Mini 2 and 1.

I wish Apple would make it charge through MagSafe too.

It’s cool someone did it, but I wish they made a wall mount option.

If you’re running a wire up the wall, you can also just take apart the arm it’s mounted on. A few seconds with a grinder and you’re done.

I glued a MagSafe ring to my 10.5” iPad because the adhesive didn’t stick. The iPad ended up crashing onto my Magic Trackpad and chipped it. You need stronger magnets for bigger iPads since they’re much heavier than iPhones.

Sounds like the glue gave out, not the magnets. Try J-B Weld for a stronger, heat-resistant bond. For heavier iPads, I’d suggest the iOttie ring, but it’s a bit pricier.
