I’m flying to KL tomorrow, and I’m thinking of upgrading to the 15 Plus. I currently have the 13 Pro. Do you think it’s worth upgrading?
I’ve had the 15 Plus for about a year, upgrading from the 13 Pro Max. I chose it because the battery life is better than the 15 Pro Max. On Wi-Fi, it lasts up to 10 hours, though now it’s around 8-9 hours after a year. The battery life is amazing.
It’s a big phone, but you get used to it. Now, I can’t go back to smaller iPhones—they feel too small.
@Jaden
I think the 15 Pro Max is way better than the 15 Plus.

Not when it comes to battery life because of the 120Hz screen.

What do you mean? The 13, 14, and 15 all have 120Hz screens. How can the 15 Plus have better battery life when the Pro Max is newer and has a bigger battery? Apple’s site says the Plus lasts up to 26 hours, while the Pro Max is rated for 29 hours. I’m getting nearly three days on the Pro Max, and don’t forget the Plus has the A16 chip while the Pro models have the A17 Pro chip.
@Rylan
Apple has said the 15 Plus has the best battery in the entire 15 series, and battery tests confirm it.
@Rylan
Watch the battery tests. The Plus beats the Pro Max easily.
Why are you thinking about upgrading?

The battery on my current phone is terrible, and it’s three years old.

Also, I can get the phone for 50% cheaper there than back home.
The iPhone 15 Plus is a great upgrade from the 13 Pro, though you’ll lose the 120Hz refresh rate. If you don’t want to upgrade, you could just replace the battery and save some money.

I’m not replacing the battery on this phone. I’ll get the 15 Plus, but I agree that losing the 120Hz screen is a bit of a downgrade.
@Zane
It sounds like you’ve made up your mind! You’ll love the 15 Plus for sure.

How much bigger is the screen when going from 6.1 to 6.7 inches? Is it noticeable?

You get about 20% more screen area. It’s definitely noticeable.
Why not wait for the iPhone 17 Pro Max instead?
I think the 15 Pro is a better choice.

I’d get it, but I’m planning to trade in my current phone.

Can’t you trade in for the 15 Pro?

I’m buying directly from Apple, not through a trade-in programme.
