iPhone 16 Plus... 8 hours screen on time and still 50% battery? Is this for real?

Same here. I upgraded from a 6-year-old XR, and it’s a night and day difference.

It’s been great. The phone’s a bit bigger but lighter. The XR was a tank compared to this. I got the 256GB in white, paired it with a clear case from Amazon and a Zagg screen protector. Couldn’t be happier.

I try to keep my battery between 15% and 95%, and I get around 8 hours of screen time on my 16 Plus. It’s only gone through 10 charge cycles so far. I spend about half my time on this forum and the rest on WhatsApp, Google, and Instagram.

I charge every other day, so it’s around 1.5 to 2 hours daily.

I got 12 hours and 46 minutes of screen time yesterday without charging. The phone finally died just now. It’s incredible, especially since I’ve only had it for a week.

That’s wild. My last phone was an S24, and it barely hit 6 to 8 hours.

Have you found a good case for the Plus yet? I’ve tried a few but haven’t loved any of them. Moving from Samsung to this phone has been worth it for the battery alone.

I’ve been using the Ringke Onyx for years. It’s a solid case and does the job well.

There’s a MagSafe version, and it’s strong enough. Haven’t had any issues with it.
