I’m trying to figure out if my iMac has an SSD or Fusion Drive. It’s a 2TB model. Any ideas?
The 2TB model was usually a Fusion Drive unless someone swapped it for an SSD.
Pretty sure that’s got a 128GB SSD in the PCIe slot.

Do you know if these iMacs are any good? I’ve got a 2019 iMac too, but it has an i3 processor and only a 1TB HDD. It runs so slow!
@Andi
You should check out everymac.com. It’s got a comparison tool. The i5 is about 20% faster than the i3 based on Geekbench scores. Link to comparison
@Shay
Don’t give up on the 2019 iMacs! They’re still good. A SATA SSD upgrade will make a big difference, especially on that i3. If you’re getting a Fusion model, you could split the Fusion Drive, install macOS on the SSD part, and later swap the HDD for an SSD if you need more space. Both should be ready for the new macOS coming this fall.
HDDs are like dead weight. If you can, avoid them unless you plan to open up your iMac to replace it. Going all SSD is usually smaller, though—128GB to 512GB.
Stay away from Fusion Drives! Once they get corrupted, they’re really hard to recover.
What does it show in Disk Utility?
