I have an iPad Pro 9.7. What should I buy next?

I’ve been using this iPad since 2016, and I’m looking to buy a new one soon. I want to stick with the Pro models but I don’t like big screens. My current iPad has become slow and laggy.

You should get the 11-inch M4. It’s about the same size, and you’ll get several years out of it. The new Apple Pencil works with this model, but the keyboards are a bit different. There’s only one option for a keyboard, and it’s not a cover keyboard. Look into it. If you’re not sold on it, the M2 Pro or Air might also be good.

@Drue
I have the 11-inch M4 Pro, and it’s AWESOME.

Easy choice: 11-inch M4 Pro.

I didn’t know they made a 9.7-inch iPad.

Yeah, the early ones from around 2016.

I got the 12.9-inch for drawing, and I like it. For gaming, though, I’d go with the 11-inch.

The 13-inch M4 iPad Pro is the best option.

Either the M1 11-inch Pro or the M4, depending on what you want to spend.

I think the 11-inch Pro is close to the original 9.7-inch size, but with a bigger display that takes up more of the device. So, it’s mostly the same size but with a much better screen.

Check out the refurbished M2 Pro on Apple’s site.

I love my 11-inch M4 Pro, but I hate that Apple doesn’t make a folio keyboard for it. The Magic Keyboard is so heavy to carry around. If you want something thin and light, go for the M2 Pro 11-inch. Best Buy has sales if you’re in the US, or try a refurbished one from Apple. (I wouldn’t get refurbished from anywhere else.) If you don’t mind a bulky keyboard or don’t plan on using one, the M4 Pro is a solid choice.
