How do I fix this emoji problem on my new iPhone?

I switched to a new iPhone and now the emojis are showing up like this. I already reset the keyboard, but they still look weird. Any ideas on how to fix this?

I found this:

If you go into your settings, you can turn off the ‘Stickers’ option.

Go to Settings > General > Keyboard. At the bottom, toggle the ‘Stickers’ option off and the gray circles should disappear.

@Jai
I already tried that, but when you turn stickers back on, the problem still happens.

Try updating to iOS 18.2. I had the same issue on 3 of my devices, and it wasn’t there after the update.

I’m already on 18.2.

That’s frustrating.

If you need more help, search for your issue on Google, this forum, or check out the iPhone Support FAQs.

Did you transfer your apps properly when you set up your new iPhone? That could be causing the issue.

Yes, everything transferred fine.

Maybe there’s a conflict with one of your apps. Try restoring your iPhone through a computer without restoring from backup. You should get back your photos, contacts, and notes. After that, reinstall the apps and the problem might be gone.

Maybe just wait for the next update.

I guess that’s the only option right now.

How much free storage do you have on your phone?

I have more than 100GB of free space.

Try restarting your phone, that usually solves it. If not, you might need to wait for a software update.

I tried restarting, but it didn’t work.

Looks like you might have to wait for a new update. If it still doesn’t work, consider visiting an Apple Store.

Try these options for a solution:

  1. Reset all settings. This will disconnect Wi-Fi and VPNs, so you’ll need to reconnect them.
  2. Restore your iPhone from a backup. Make sure you back up your data first.
  3. The last option is to restore without a backup. You won’t lose photos or contacts since they’re stored on iCloud.

You can also connect your iPhone to a computer and use Finder or iTunes to update the device, which might fix the issue.
If it doesn’t work, you can contact Apple support for further assistance.

Thank god, I had a weird sticker of Will Ferrell from Step Brothers, and I kept sending it to people by mistake.

No, you don’t need to do anything right now. Just wait for the next iOS update.
