Got my hands on an iPhone 4S... anyone else still have one?

Just picked up an iPhone 4S with the original box. It’s crazy to think how much phones have changed since then. Anyone else hanging onto old tech?

Man, that phone was a classic. Back when phones were small and easy to carry around. The 4/4S just felt special with that glass back… way different from the older models. Plus, it was the first time Siri showed up, and it really felt like something out of the future. And of course, can’t forget the headphone jack. The Mini lineup kind of brought that feeling back, but Apple dropped it way too soon. Steve Jobs really knew how to make stuff feel innovative.

Siri barely changed at all since then.

True, it feels like they just let it slide. Back in 2011, it was mind-blowing to talk to your phone. Now it’s like Siri’s stuck in the past while other assistants moved on. iOS 18 made a few tweaks, but it’s still not great. Apple Intelligence? Total gimmick.

Honestly, I think she got worse.

All I remember is how bad the antenna placement was. Total nightmare.

That’s awesome! How much did you snag it for?

How much do these go for nowadays? Any idea?

@Penn
Usually between $10 and $20. Depends on where you look.

Thanks, mate!

Keep it in the box for a few more years and it’ll be considered vintage. Not the exact phone, but the model in general.

Yeah, I know.

Not practical… no MagSafe… (kidding).

Something doesn’t add up… iPhone 4S came out in 2011 but iOS 7’s flat design dropped in 2013. How does that work?

Probably a later update.

Not sure, but either way, you’re gonna love it .

Good luck trying to find a T-Mobile Edge SIM card for that. Maybe look into a Red Pocket GSM-T one.

Thanks, I’ll give it a shot.
