I hope this is just a glitch like what happened with iOS 18.1 beta, but it seems they’ve removed it again. Does anyone know why?
Same thing here. This is really disappointing from Apple. There’s no reason for this.
Yeah, it’s gone. I’ve been using the official wallpapers since I got the 15 Pro, and I loved the titanium animation when waking the screen. This always happens though. It was the same with my iPhone 13 and iPad Air 4—the original wallpapers disappeared after a software update.
Thankfully, I saved two copies of the 15 Pro wallpaper so I can still use it.
@Clove
The iPhone 14 Pro wallpapers are still there, though. Doesn’t make sense.
@Clove
But don’t the animations stop working?

Are you talking about the 14 Pro?
@Clove
What animation are you talking about?
The wallpaper changes a little when you wake the screen and when you swipe up.
Apple just isn’t what it used to be. They don’t care about making great products anymore, it’s all about profits now.

This has been happening since iOS 6.

This really became a thing when Tim Cook took over. He focused on making Apple the most valuable company, not the most innovative one. Try using an old iPhone with iOS 6—it still works smoothly. My 3GS is proof.
@Wynne
Are you serious? Your 14-year-old phone isn’t smooth anymore, and that’s somehow Apple’s fault? Wallpapers disappearing doesn’t make them less innovative. Just download a high-res version from the web. It’s probably a storage-saving measure anyway.
@Amory
Downloading it won’t give you the animation, though.
I really don’t like iOS 18. It’s frustrating.
But they kept the LGBTQ wallpapers, which nobody seems to use.

Exactly. I’m so tired of this nonsense.

Yeah, I’ve never seen anyone, even in the LGBTQ community, using those.

I saw one person once, but he seemed like he just wanted to stand out. It was on an always-on display.

Why would they remove those wallpapers?
