Anyone else stuck with the Apple Timer?

Why does everyone here keep talking about bugs on their Apple devices?

For real. I’ve been using iPhones for so long, ever since the iPhone 3. I never thought I’d even consider switching, but honestly, things are getting super frustrating these days.

Guess that’s Apple being ‘smart’ as usual.

Totally agree. Ever since iOS 16, it feels like almost every other post here is about some kind of glitch.

Apple’s tagline should be changed to: ‘It just works fails.’

Honestly, it feels like this forum is more about venting frustrations than celebrating Apple products these days.

Try swiping the timer away. That worked for me before.

Wow. I can’t believe this actually worked. You’re a lifesaver, honestly. Thank you!

Try clicking cancel. If that doesn’t work, maybe open the timer app, set a new one, then cancel it and close the app.

I already tried that, but the cancel option is greyed out. Appreciate the suggestion though .

@Kiran
Oh, well, I gave it a shot. Hope you figure it out!

I’ve had this happen with alarms too. The only fix I’ve found is restarting the phone. It’s been an issue on both my SE3 and 14 Pro Max, but it only started after iOS 18.

Try setting another timer to overwrite it.

Tried that, didn’t help :frowning:

Well, that’s annoying.

Try swiping right on the Dynamic Island.

Restarting the phone might help?

Have you tried a hard reset?

I’ve been avoiding that as a last resort.
