Anyone else seeing a green line on their iPhone 16 Pro Max?

Has anyone else noticed a green line on their iPhone 16 Pro Max screen? I got mine from Verizon on October 7th and within just a few days, I saw a faint green line on the left side of the screen. At first, it would disappear by itself, but now it’s always there, and it’s really noticeable. I reached out to Verizon, and they said they’d replace it, but it’s on backorder, so I have to wait 2 weeks for a new one. Also, they charged me $100 for taxes on the new phone, which they say will be refunded when they get the faulty one back. It’s frustrating that this happened with such a new phone. Is anyone else having the same problem?

That sucks, hope Apple sorts it out for you soon.

It’s annoying for sure, but honestly, even the best products sometimes have issues. When you sell millions of iPhones, there’s always going to be a few that come out faulty. It’s just bad luck. It doesn’t mean their quality is terrible across the board.

Every time someone has an issue, they immediately jump to the conclusion that Apple is terrible. I’ve had a faulty phone before, but I just went in, got it swapped out, no drama. It’s tech—it breaks sometimes.

@Sage
Yeah, and a lot of ‘defective’ devices actually got damaged because someone dropped them or something. Not always the manufacturer’s fault.

I’ve got an iPhone 13, and I’m dealing with a similar issue. The green line appears randomly and then goes away. I don’t have AppleCare either, so I’m stuck with it for now.

Make sure the replacement phone they send you isn’t refurbished. You don’t want a used phone when yours was brand new.

Have you tried putting it in rice? Might help.
