Why won't my iPhone restart… anyone else had this issue?

That looks like Assistive Access. It’s usually meant for elderly people, and it’s not something you can turn on by accident since it takes a few steps to set up. Try this guide to disable it and see if that helps: Enter and exit Assistive Access on iPhone - Apple Support

@Rin
Oh wow, that worked! Thank you so much. I posted about this on another forum and got the same answer, and it fixed it. You’re a lifesaver!

Any chance someone else could have messed with your phone? Back in school, we used to prank each other like that since we all shared passwords for some weird reason.

@Chen
OP said earlier they were messing with settings and hit it by mistake while trying to get to Siri. Assistive Access is right above Siri in Accessibility, so it’s easy to tap the wrong thing if you’re in a hurry.

(Enter and exit Assistive Access on iPhone - Apple Support) Got a good laugh out of this now that it’s sorted.

@Weston
Maybe next time just say, ‘My phone’s interface suddenly changed’ instead of making it sound so complicated. People are here to help, not figure out some random puzzle.

Nah, it’s just plum.

Why is everyone calling it fake? It’s just in Assistive Access mode.

I thought it was fake too because I’ve never seen that interface before. Honestly, it doesn’t look like what you’d expect from Apple.

@Lennon
Same here, thought it was just a joke at first. Learned something new today.

That’s Assistive Access. Just triple-click the lock button and hit exit to go back to normal.

People just assume it’s fake because they don’t know about Assistive Access. It’s designed to make phones simpler for older folks. If your phone’s not restarting, it’s probably just stuck in that mode.

@Brigham
Yeah, that’s what happened. I turned it on while trying to get Siri to recognise a song. Thankfully, someone here pointed me in the right direction.

Wait, how did that even happen?

@Grady
Someone pointed out earlier that Assistive Access is right above Siri in settings. It’s super easy to hit the wrong button if you’re just clicking through without paying attention.

Haha, did you notice who you just replied to?

@Brigham
Thanks for the tip. Mistakes happen. Chill out.

Honestly, people just love calling stuff fake when they don’t recognise it. It’s not like every iPhone user knows every feature.

What kind of case is that?
