I’ve tried installing backed-up apps but they won’t install properly. They only download halfway. I can’t update apps either, it says ‘iPhone not done restoring’. Does anyone know how to fix this?
Try logging out of your Apple Store account and then logging back in.
Did you transfer data from another iPhone? Does that iPhone have a VPN installed? If it does, try deleting the VPN, make a new backup, erase your new device, and restore it with the new backup but without the VPN.
This also happened to my girlfriend with her new iPhone 15. The fix is to tap on each individual app and the download should start. I think it’s an issue with iOS 18.1.1.

No luck, it still stops around halfway through the download and doesn’t go further. I haven’t been able to install anything yet
Try updating iOS. I had the same issue when I first got my iPhone, and updating fixed it.
You need to have the phone plugged into power and connected to Wi-Fi for the installs to work.
Make sure you’re connected to Wi-Fi.
Did you get the 16GB model?
Why do so many iPhone users install Chrome when Safari is already on the device?

People install Chrome because they prefer it. Not hard to figure out why.

It’s because of passwords and the fact that Chrome can be used like Safari on a PC or Mac.
@Finch
There’s an iCloud password extension for Chrome/Edge and Firefox.

Not Firefox unfortunately.

I thought there was an official one, but it looks like it’s not far away. Here’s a link with more details: Apple might soon release official iCloud Passwords extension for Firefox
@Corey
Interesting. I hope it happens.

Link me to it, you might just solve my problem. Will it sync both ways?

It’s included in the iCloud Windows app.
@Finch
I don’t understand why some people install it when they don’t even know that Chrome stores passwords.

Who cares, some of us like Chrome. Worry about your own business.
