Hey everyone, I’m thinking of upgrading to the iPhone 15 Pro from my iPhone X. I’ve had it for a while and it still works great.
Right now, T-Mobile is offering $175 in trade-in if I finance it over 24 months with 0% APR, but if I buy it outright, I only get $120. I usually prefer to pay upfront, though.
Are there better deals elsewhere? It seems like the good trade-in offers start from iPhone 11 and up. Should I just keep my iPhone X as a backup instead? Appreciate your thoughts!

Thanks! I’m leaning towards that. It’s in mint condition, and I replaced the battery a year ago, so it’s still working well.

Honestly, the only reason I’m considering it is for the camera and better signal. My partner has the same carrier and no issues, but I get terrible reception for some reason. Plus, I take a lot of photos, and the 15 Pro’s camera features would be a big step up for me.
I’ve heard some complaints about battery and build quality on the 15 Pro, but compared to the X, I think it’ll be a major improvement.

My X sometimes randomly drops to 3G or 2G for a bit and then jumps back up. It’s frustrating.
I upgraded to the 14 Pro in August but kept the X for Wi-Fi use around the house. I use it for web browsing, texting, and music while walking so that I don’t wear out my new phone too quickly. I have an iPad too, but the X is always nearby.

I did the same thing. The new phone is mostly for going out and calls, but the X still works fine for everything else. Gonna keep using it until it’s totally done.

Maybe a little, but my home Wi-Fi is pretty fast anyway, so I don’t notice much difference.
I’m keeping my X as a backup too. Not worth much in trade unless you’re on a pricey plan.

Went with the white titanium! My X still works perfectly, but we’re having a baby soon, so I wanted to upgrade for better pictures. The camera is a big improvement.

I have an iPhone X too and wondering the same thing. I heard the X might not get iOS support soon, so I feel like it’s time to upgrade.

Yeah, the X won’t get iOS 17. It’ll still get security updates for iOS 16, but probably only for another year or so. Not sure how long Apple supports the older systems.

The new buttons and charging port on the 15 seem like changes that’ll last a while, so I think now’s the best time to upgrade instead of waiting for the 16.
