Hey everyone, last month I switched from X to iPhone 12, but when I saw the colour on the 16, I just had to get it. I really wanted the 16 Pro, but this colour was only on the regular model, so here we are. Also grabbed some AirPods Max and a MagSafe charger.
I was really tempted by the base 16 just for that colour, but since it’s my first iPhone, I figured I should go for the best experience, so I got the 16 Pro Max… really wish they had all colours across all models.
@Gale
Pastel colours are a bit much for me. The Pro and Pro Max colours feel more refined and professional. You can always get a case if you really want a different look.

Nah man, Pro colours are just dull and lifeless.
@Corwin
At the end of the day, it’s just a phone. Function over looks for me.

I never use cases.

Why not?

I just like the feel of the raw phone. Metal feels premium. Plastic cases ruin that, though maybe a leather case would be okay.

Yeah, going caseless feels way better. Plus, the phone is lighter in the pocket.
@Gale
What colour is your case?

I got the Pitaka in Moonrise. Love the look. If I want to show off the colour, I go for a clear case, but I prefer the texture of carbon fibre even though it hides the colour. That’s why colour is a ‘want’ not a ‘need’ for me.
Not sure I get your reasoning, but enjoy the phone.

Thanks! I’ve been moving towards minimalism in everything, even if people don’t believe me. I have money, but I just want fewer things. That’s why I got an Xbox Series S instead of the X—smaller, cleaner design.
@Mal
And yet you picked AirPods Max over AirPods Pro?

My ears are super sensitive. I can’t wear anything that goes inside them, so over-ear headphones are my only option.
60Hz? That’s rough. Hope you still enjoy it though.

I honestly don’t notice the difference between 60Hz and 120Hz.

Why is the original poster getting downvoted? Not everyone notices refresh rates like tech nerds do. Most people don’t even know what a refresh rate is. I have a 15 Pro, and I switch to 60Hz sometimes to save battery. It’s really not a big deal.
@RickChulo
Yeah, I used to think 120Hz was life-changing, but after a while, I barely even notice. If you don’t care about it, that’s all that matters.
