Struggling with Apple Watch Faces & Stand Notifications”Help Needed!

Hey everyone! I’ve had my Apple Watch for about a month, and I’m running into two issues.

  1. I can’t find enough full-screen digital watch faces. I really need one where the hours and minutes are on the same line—having them split up is just too hard to read.

  2. I’m having trouble knowing if I’ve hit my stand goal for the current hour. It’s a little easier to check on the watch than the phone, but I’d love a clear, full-screen indicator showing if I’m good for the hour.

Also, my stand notifications don’t come through when I’m in work focus mode, which is super annoying. Anyone know how to fix that?

Try adjusting your Work focus settings. Go to Focus > Work and allow notifications from the Fitness app. As for faces, check out custom face apps, though most cost a few bucks.

I tweaked the settings, but it’s still not working. Maybe I’m missing something?

@Bevin
Do your notifications work when Work focus is off?

Yeah, they’re fine when focus mode is off.

Check if your watch mirrors your iPhone’s focus. Try changing it directly on the watch and see if that helps!

Any idea how to stop hourly chimes from being blocked in Work focus?

@Lior
Maybe try adding the Accessibility app to allowed apps in your Work focus settings?

Standing still doesn’t always work for me either. A quick walk, even to the kitchen, usually does the trick.

Same! I can walk around, wash my hands, and still get nothing. It’s frustrating.

@Van
Letting your arm hang down for a minute sometimes helps. Make sure the Digital Crown is facing down.

Good tip! I usually jog in place, but I’ll try letting my arm hang instead.

@Van
I walk back and forth in my hallway, and that usually works. Maybe your watch is just pickier!

I’m guilty of just waving my arm in bed. Not ideal, but it work

@Zev
Haha, same! If walking doesn’t work, I sit and wave my arm until it counts!

Check the Fitness app. If the stand ring is bright on the summary, you’ve got credit. If it’s dim, you still need to move.

Try ActivityRings+. It adds a dot when you’ve met your standby goal for the hour.

I can’t seem to find that app.

I can’t seem to find that app.

Try searching for ActivityRings+ directly on your watch.

For the watch face, try the XL face with digital seconds as a complication. The modular face also shows blue dots for each hour you hit your stand goal.
