I asked Siri, “What’s 100 baht in US dollars,” but it couldn’t figure it out. iOS 18.1.1 didn’t fix it either. Am I the only one having this issue?
Funny thing, Spotlight handles conversions way better than Siri.

Spotlight uses Wolfram Alpha for some stuff, so maybe that’s why it works better.
Actually, for currency conversions, Spotlight pulls data from Yahoo Finance.

Are you sure about Wolfram Alpha? I’ve read Siri used it before, but I couldn’t find anything about Spotlight using it now. Got a source?

What’s Wolfram Alpha?

Imagine if Siri started using it too… would solve a lot of problems.

Right? It’s so weird.
Siri 2.0 isn’t here yet. What we see in iOS 18.1 is just a new look, not the real update.

Honestly, Siri in iOS 17.6 worked better than this. Since updating, asking it to text or call is hit or miss, maybe 50% success now. Super annoying.
@Bliss
So true, half the time it just disappears without doing anything.
@Bliss
After updating to iOS 18, my HomePod Siri started picking up background movie sounds and reacting to them. We had to move it out of the room.

Haha, Siri really out here trying to join the movie experience.

I heard Siri 2.0 is coming in iOS 19, sometime in 2026.

No, it’s supposed to be part of an iOS 18 update, like 18.4 or something.
@Ellis
I read it got pushed into 2026. Some iOS 19 features won’t even launch right away. Apple’s priorities are confusing right now.
@Ellis
Pretty sure Zolotech mentioned it was delayed. Feels like everything is getting postponed lately.

Ugh, that’s disappointing.
Here’s a screenshot of my conversion working perfectly: https://placehold.co/600x400.png
@Hadi
I use Siri for baht conversions all the time, and it works fine for me.
@Hadi
I tried asking it verbally. Siri typed the question correctly, but then forgot it was about baht and gave no proper answer.
