Should I update now to the 15 Pro Max… worth it or not?

Thinking about updating my 15 Pro Max but not sure if it’s worth it right now… anyone else made the jump?

No need to rush… you’ll get it soon enough along with everyone else, and without risking any beta issues.

I avoid putting beta software on my main phone, not worth the risk of something breaking. I keep a backup phone and use my laptop for testing betas. I’d say only test betas on a device that’s not your primary.

If you’re on DB1, then yeah, it’s better on my 15 Pro Max than the first beta.

Huge difference! Beta 1 was so laggy, but beta 2 is running way smoother for me.

How’s the battery life on it? Any improvement?

Yep, same experience here.

Go for it if you really want to try it… just make sure to back up your phone first, just in case. Worst that could happen is you need to restore.

Will this update fix the overheating issues on the iPhone 15 Pro Max?

Are you sure there’s still an issue? Thought that was sorted out back in iOS 17.0.1?

Yeah, it’s better now.

Finally got my RCS to work right!

Beta 2 fixed my RCS too, but the first beta actually broke it for me… if they’re still on 18.1, this isn’t a reason to update yet.

People act like betas just started and that they’re all terrible…

Betas are for the younger, braver crowd… it’s a bit more of a hassle with the iPhone’s iCloud backups.

I used to update to betas all the time, even though they’re pretty buggy in the early days. Got used to it just for the new stuff.

But is it really worth updating? Not sure what the benefit is.

Hmm…

I wouldn’t. The mail app is still glitchy, and I’ve been waiting forever to get into the new image playground feature. Battery life is worse on 18.2 than on 18.1.

Same here, been on the waitlist for 12 days now. Beta 2 is way easier on battery than beta 1, though .
