My Apple Watch SE won’t charge… anyone else?

My charger works fine with my phone and AirPods, but it won’t charge my watch. I cleaned both surfaces and made sure they’re aligned properly, but it still doesn’t work. What could be the issue?

Try flipping the crown side up. Sometimes having the crown down causes it to misalign just enough to stop charging.

Have you tried yelling at it? It works for me sometimes.

Tried that a few times, didn’t help unfortunately!

What kind of power brick are you using? What’s the wattage?

This could be the issue! I had the same problem and switching to a Type-C brick fixed it. If you have a USB-A to Type-C adapter, try using that to test. Always good to rule out the simple stuff first.

Have you tried placing the charger flat on a table? It might work better that way than at an angle.

Yeah, I’ve tried that and still nothing.

The charger might be broken then. If you have another Apple Watch, test it out. If it’s new, you can get it replaced.

I had issues after a watchOS update. My Belkin charger stopped working, but the Apple one works fine. Maybe give that a shot.

It’s probably the latest update. Restart your watch and see if it works. I’ve had to do this multiple times.

Maybe that part of the charger is dead. Do you have another charger to test with?

If it’s a third-party charger, they’re known to fail when it comes to charging Apple Watches.

Not an expert, but I’ve noticed that those little round stickers they include with chargers help with keeping the watch in place. Maybe check if yours has one?

My Series 7 sometimes does this, and I have to restart it. Give it a try!

Try flipping the watch. It might just be misaligned. If that doesn’t work, maybe it’s time to replace the charging station.

This happened to me, and using the charger that came with the watch fixed it.

I think you’re using the same 3-in-1 foldable charger as me! Mine works fine but overheats a lot. That could be why your watch pad isn’t working anymore.

Is the back of your watch clean? Skin oils can build up and mess with charging. Try cleaning it with a soft cloth.

Third-party chargers often fail with Apple Watches. Stick to the original ones.
