Is this the laziest thing iOS has ever done…?

iOS is turning into Windows. Too big to fix at this point, so they’re not even trying. Get used to stuff like this.

Do you have Safari or a music/streaming app running in the background? Closing them usually makes the issue disappear for me.

Control Center has its own issues. The now-playing icon doesn’t even open the app anymore. It just sits there doing nothing if nothing is playing.

Happens to me on my iPhone 11, but not on my 13. And it causes my AirPods to connect to the wrong phone constantly. So frustrating.

Does this happen when you’re watching videos on certain websites?

There’s a lot of sloppy stuff on iOS.

iOS 18 is so bad I switched to Android. Same apps, but the screen and battery are way better haha.

“Sloppy” really sums up iOS 18.

Pretty sure this is an app issue, not iOS. If you close the media app, it should go away.

Every new iOS update makes things worse. They keep changing stuff that was fine before. Should have stayed on iOS 15.

Same. My hotspot barely works now, and on macOS, I’ve had so many issues with exporting photos. Every update just seems to break something.

iOS is just one big mess at this point.

I still wouldn’t trade my iPhone for anything else though.

What’s that widget showing 141 miles for Model Y?

That’s a Tesla widget.

I haven’t had that problem. The widget disappears if nothing is playing. Maybe try restarting your phone?

Yeah, restart it because of a banner? Doesn’t seem worth it.

“Bro”… resetting doesn’t help at all. It comes back after watching YouTube shorts or other videos. Bro.

@Wren
Quitting the media app (YouTube, TikTok, whatever) usually gets rid of the empty media widget for me.
