iPhone users… has anyone ever seen this message before?

I was just using my phone like normal and got a weird message. Anyone know what this is about?

How do you even multitask on an iPhone? I’m so confused right now

You mean like FaceTiming someone while watching a YouTube video in the corner and recording the screen?

Multitasking isn’t just about having apps on screen. They can fully run in the background. Been like that for almost 10 years.

You should switch to Bluesky. If you’ve been following the news, you probably know why.

Apple added multitasking in iOS 4. It started off limited, but apps could still run in the background while another was open. Now it’s a lot more advanced, with Picture-in-Picture, Dynamic Island, and even split screen on iPads.

I think they mean switching between apps while recording.

The way it’s supposed to work: open one app, start recording, keep that app open, record for a bit, then stop.

What people actually do: start recording, switch between 5 different apps, and let it run indefinitely.

Apple’s basically saying: pick one app, record what you need, and don’t leave it running forever.

@Oak
I wasn’t recording anything though, and I wasn’t using any recording app

Are you sure? I’ve accidentally recorded my screen so many times. If you really weren’t, then it’s probably a bug. Or… something worse.

Edit: Screen recording is a default option in Control Center. It’s super easy to trigger by mistake. Check your Photos—if nothing’s there, then yeah, it’s a bug or maybe even something sketchy.

@Oak
I swear I wasn’t recording. I was just sending a video on WhatsApp from my gallery, then switched to X.

Then it’s a bug. The message is just meant to warn people who are actually recording.

But you should double-check your security settings. If something triggered it on its own, that’s not normal.

Maybe your phone just doesn’t like you recording while eating a sandwich.

Wait… you can multitask while recording video? How?
