I recently had my iPhone repaired, and now I’m experiencing an issue where the screen flickers green for a millisecond whenever I tap it or press the power button. It then goes back to black. I’ve attached a photo that best captures the issue, but I can’t upload a video at the moment.
At one point, the screen went back to normal, but I’m not sure why. Has anyone else had this problem or know what might be causing it? Any advice on how to fix this or if it’s related to the repair?
It sounds like it could be a loose connection or an issue with the screen replacement. Check the repair work for any loose cables or improper installation.
It sounds like the flickering could be related to the repair, possibly due to a loose connection, a faulty display component, or even a software issue that arose after the repair. The fact that the screen returned to normal at one point suggests it might be an intermittent problem, potentially tied to how the screen is seated or connected. If you’re comfortable, you could try a soft reset or update your software to see if that helps, but given that this issue started after the repair, it’s probably best to contact the repair shop. They should be able to check if something was reassembled incorrectly or if there’s a defective part involved. Make sure to show them the photo and explain when the flickering happens—they might need to re-examine the work they did.
