iPhone 15 Pro made it through 30 hours underwater at 12 feet… who’s tried this?

Seems like it’s really waterproof. I’d feel pretty safe snorkeling with my iPhone 14+ as long as it’s in good shape

Just don’t take it in the sauna, that’ll wear off the coating

@Blaine
Didn’t know that… definitely won’t do that anymore, thanks

@Blaine
High temps start to break down the glue over time. The older it gets, the less water-resistant it becomes because of this

Good thing Arizona’s bone dry… not worried about water over here! /s

This happened with my Apple Watch. I told the store, ‘But you advertise swimming in it!’ and they said ‘Oh, it wears down eventually.’ Then they tried selling me the newest Apple Watch for $400. Seriously?

@Blaine
Who knew a sauna could ruin it?

@Blaine
I usually keep mine near the shower head so I can listen to music

Hot steam will mess with that coating too if you do it a lot

Oops… didn’t know that

@Neve
Maybe get a cheap Bluetooth speaker for the shower

Yeah, I’ve got a JBL Go2 for that, or sometimes just crank the volume on the sink

@Blaine
What’s next, people snorkeling in saunas?

Can it record video underwater?

Sometimes I put my phone upside down in a glass of water when it overheats… no issues yet

Maybe put it in a ziplock before doing that?

Sounds risky to me

Meanwhile, I freak out if a couple of drops hit my iPhone 15 Pro screen while I’m washing dishes
