This is definitely some battery phobia going on…
Using the 15 Plus since December 2023 (manufactured in August 2023). Had 100% battery health until around 230+ cycles. Then it dropped to 99% after iOS 18.1 update. Now, at 259 cycles, the battery health is down to 95%
Either the update drained the battery or the phone doesn’t track the battery health properly.
I had an iPhone XR before, and after 2 years the battery was only at 92%.

I have a 12, how should I make my battery cycle be? Mine’s at 79% and I got it pre-owned

At 251 cycles, it’s still at 100%. Mine dropped to 99% at 70 cycles
Mine dropped to 99 as soon as I reached 252 cycles and updated to iOS 18
That’ll teach ya ;-}
