Has the iPhone 15 Heating Issue Improved After Updates?

Hi everyone, I’m considering buying an iPhone 15 and wanted to know how the heating issues are now after the latest updates. Do they still occur often, or have they been manageable? I’m asking about the standard iPhone 15 variant specifically.

I haven’t noticed any heating issues at all

I saw some videos mentioning heating issues, especially due to the lack of a cooling system. Thanks for your reply though.

The heating happens mostly when playing games or using the phone for a long time.

My iPhone 15 gets warm when charging, especially when the battery is below 20%. But once it gets past 50%, the heating stops. I usually just wait a bit and don’t use it while charging. I’ve heard some people say their phone got as hot as 40°C, but I haven’t experienced that level of heat. It might also depend on the weather here since it’s cold where I live.

No heating problems for me after updating to iOS 18.

That’s good to hear. Thanks for your reply!

I haven’t faced any issues so far.

No heating problems for me, it seems like those issues were only early on after the release.

It does heat up when charging, especially if the battery is low. It heats up faster than my old 12 Pro Max, but it cools down after a few minutes of not being on the charger. This only happened 2-3 times over two months, and it’s not a big issue.

No heating problems at all. Just don’t use the phone while it’s charging, and that helps a lot!

Exactly, heating is mostly related to how you use it.

I have the iPhone 15 Plus, so I’m not sure if that changes things, but I rarely notice any heating issues.

I haven’t noticed any heating problems. Even if there were, they wouldn’t be a dealbreaker for me since it’s not hot enough to make it uncomfortable to touch.

It does heat up a bit when playing intense games like Roblox, though.
