I think 120Hz should still be a Pro feature. But I would love to see 90Hz as the new standard. There isn’t much noticeable difference between 90Hz and 120Hz, but there is a big gap between 60Hz and 90Hz.
I think Apple will try to migrate as many of their new releases to chipsets that support Apple Intelligence as fast as they can.
For the iPad Mini, it could either use the M2 chip or a version of the A17 Pro found in the iPhone 15 Pro. Alternatively, it could have the processor released with the iPhone 16 next month or a binned version like the A15 in the current Mini.
I imagine the performance change will be minimal. They might improve display quality to address jelly scrolling, but I expect it will feel like a smaller iPad Air with different color options.

It seems clear that the Mini will come out around October. The real news would be if it launches during the iPhone 16 event. The Mini 6 feels really outdated now, so it’s a no-brainer
The iPad Mini fits into a standard pocket (or possibly a fanny pack) I love being able to move around with both hands free without carrying a computer bag
I really wish they had released this during the September event
I expect just a processor upgrade and the jelly scroll “fix” which might actually make it worse for landscape users I’d be shocked to see anything more significant
